WHEREVER YOU ARE Don't be so nervous now, just let me love you. Under the surface, I know every part of you wants to be seen in the brightest light of the stars. I recognize how you're holding your breath like the moon recognizes a mirror reflection of a window pane catching a street lamp alone in the dark. I will always love you wherever you are. I will always love you wherever you are. In the valley between us, shadows shift sides, canyons all echo old lover's goodbyes, as morning paints her pinks on a field of stars. You will go your way and I will go mine, and we'll carry a thread to the end of all time, forever connected no matter how near or far. I will always love you wherever you are. I will always love you wherever you are. High up above us, a man turns his face to a pale blue marble suspended in space, he let's out a tear for this beautiful pearl in the dark. From way out there we're all one and the same, the differences blur and the borderlines fade, and in the silence he feels the beat of a single heart. I will always love you wherever you are. I will always love you wherever you are. I will always love you wherever you are.

This song was inspired by reading quotes from Edgar Mitchell and Carl Sagan and Michael Collins who speak of the overwhelming unity and instant global consciousness you gain by looking back at the earth from the moon, and recognizing it as a one single breathing organism.

“You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it." -Edgar Mitchell

“I really believe that if the political leaders of the world could see their planet from a distance of, let's say 100,000 miles, their outlook would be fundamentally changed . The all-important border would be invisible, that noisy argument suddenly silenced. The tiny globe would continue to turn, serenely ignoring its subdivisions, presenting a unified facade that would cry out for unified understanding, for homogeneous treatment.” - Michael Collins

Today this is dedicated to the connection we all have as humans on this one single planet that we share. The essential connection we share the same between family as strangers, with no less and no more regardless of country, race, class, or any other barriers that divide us when we look with too narrow a focus. One planet. One love.

Thank you for listening and please feel free to share. You may donate if you'd like, or download for free. All proceeds will be given directly to #ACLU. #NoWallNoBan
